Madrid does not really get going until after 11pm and many locals do not even venture out until then. When one bar closes in Madrid, another one opens and just when you think it is time for home, you will see people queing to get in to another night club or late night bar.

The larger night clubs in Madrid will charge an entrance fee and the price will vary depending on how popular the night club is and what night of the week you go. Most entrance fees do include a free drink on entry and some clubs offer FREE entry before a certain time. However, as most clubs don’t really start to get going before 1am, you might have a few hours to wait in an empty club should you choose to avoid paying the entrance fee by going in early.
Most of the clubs do offer discounts on entry if you present one of the promotional fliers that they distribute and these can generally be found in hotels, clothes shops around the city, bars and people handing them out in the street.
Madrid nightlife spans over several areas of the city where you can find a whole variety of bars and clubs. It is great to bounce from one area to the next and experience a whole mix of culture, fashion and sounds.
Main Areas Of The City For Madrid Nightlife
